Untitled by Travess Smalley
This image by New Yorker Travess Smalley is highly digital in nature. The shapes he has placed in the composition appear to form a sort of abstract landscape; twinned with the acid colours he has used, this image has a very psychedelic feel to it. A lot of thought has been put into the background, it commands as much attention as the shapes in the foreground. This image feels smooth due to the metallic aspects of it, but also very separate at the same time, as the objects in the foreground do look slightly awkward against the background. I like this, though, as Travess Smalley's work often intentionally puts together objects/concepts that seem to be completely separate.
